Welcome to Patterned.ByP - here’s a little about my journey.

My family’s story is rooted in resilience and creativity. My grandparents immigrated to the UK from Africa, bringing with them a rich culture of sewing and craftsmanship. Growing up, I was surrounded by the steady hum of sewing machines and the vibrant fabrics my mum, aunties and uncles used to create beautiful garments.

From a young age, I was completely captivated by fashion and design. I’d spend hours watching my family work their magic, learning techniques without even realising it, and seeing how a simple piece of fabric could be transformed into something truly special. That’s when I knew this wasn’t just a hobby - it was part of who I am.

As I got older, I continued to nurture my love for textiles. I studied fashion and design in school, building my skills and exploring the endless possibilities of the craft. In my 20s, I carried that passion with me and decided to take the leap to create my own brand — Patterned.ByP.

Today, my focus is on giving fabric a second life. I transform unused, high-quality fabrics I’ve sourced from local Leicester manufacturers into stylish, flattering pieces that are handmade to order. Every garment I create is made with intention — blending heritage, sustainability, and modern design to make clothing that feels as good as it looks.

For me, this brand is about more than fashion. It’s about honouring where I come from, reducing waste, and creating pieces that help you feel confident, unique, and connected to the story behind what you wear.
